</span><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="color: #000000">The setting for the 2010 TAS Field School brings us to Central Texas in Medina County working on the Eagle Bluff Site (41ME147) with Hondo Creek winding along the base of the bluff showing the scar of an old wall profile exposing stained soil and rock features of past cultures. Scattered along the top of the bluff are four areas that have been cleaned, cut and mapped so that grid points and elevations could be established across the area and ready for excavation when TAS field school participates arrive in June. Excavators uncovered and recorded evidence of this multi-component site with early triangular points from the archaic period along with a large number of Toyah points and related artifacts from the Toyah phase excavated in Area four. In this overview we just scratch the surface of what could be a wealth of information from the thick deposits at the Eagle <br />
Bluff site.<br />

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-size: 12px">This book is a collection of over 200 historic photographs with accompanying text that tell the story of Midland from its beginnings as a railroad stop to its current status as a modern city with international connections. Most of the images come from the Midland County Historical Museum.</span></div>

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-size: 12px">Jim spent several months working through the archives to find the photographs that best conveyed aspects of Midland's history.</span></div>

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-size: 12px">The book has sold well since its release in August. Many Midland resident have purchased copies for themselves or for friends and family members. Jim has conducted several book signings at various locations in Midland.</span></div>
